PamGene is a Dutch biotechnology company in Den Bosch, NL and offers instrument sales and research services with a proprietary microarray proteomics platform for kinase activity profiling and cell signaling analysis. PamGene’s microarray technology is used in a broad range of applications in discovery research for biotechnology companies and in clinical research for hospitals to gain insights into disease development and to predict proper clinical response to oncology therapy.  Recently PamGene has developed IVD biomarker for therapy response prediction in patients and clinical applications for immuno-oncological diseases are currently developed (i.e. lung cancer, melanoma, inflammatory disease).

Job description

We have an opportunity for an Application Scientist Life Science (M.Sc/ PhD level preferred) who will play a key role in the execution and development of research services for supporting discovery research and biomarker development for both customers and within PamGene. She/he will thereby contribute to PamGene’s turnover in the platform and consumable market as well as to the success of internal development programs.

We are looking for a hands-on and result-driven individual preferably familiar with (contract) research in life science discovery and bioanalysis. He/she will be responsible for guiding scientists in the successful application of PamGene’s technology in their research. This includes project management, the analysis and interpretation of kinase microarray data, the presentation of results in client meetings and at scientific conferences and the preparation of research reports and publications. Next to this, he/she will be involved in the (software) development of new tools for data analysis and interpretation.

Job requirements

  • M.Sc and preferably PhD degree in biochemistry, molecular biology and/ or a related discipline with an affinity for (statistical) data analysis and/or bioinformatics or a PhD degree in bioinformatics with experience in applying data analysis methods in general life science.
  • Scientific experience in signalling pathways, microarray technology, medical oncology and/or immunological diseases is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, experience with coding for data analysis. For example, with writing and using R-scripts.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to communicate efficiently with customers and various stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, able to guide the execution of multiple studies in parallel within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Experience with project management and/or (contract) research with pharmaceutical industry will be considered as an advantage.
  • Fluent in English, Dutch is considered as beneficial.

International Account Manager

Who we are

PamGene is a Dutch biotechnology company with headquarters in Den Bosch, NL. The company developed a unique and proprietary microarray platform for functional proteomics activity profiling and cell signaling analysis. PamGene offers research services for e.g. development of new biomarkers for candidate drugs and provides diagnostic applications for new immuno-oncology targets. PamGene’s microarray technology is used in a broad range of applications in pharmaceutical research and in (pre)clinical development to gain insights into disease development and basic research.

PamGene is looking for an enthusiastic Account Manager to help realize the future plans of the organization. Preferably a colleague with a biological/scientific background and or commercial experience. A proactive role in establishing and maintaining contact with customers is expected. We are looking for a hands-on team player with sales experience with a down to earth mentality. He / she will work with the support team, to find, initiate and close new sales opportunities. These sales activities will focus on the academic institutions but also on biotech and pharma companies.

Your role

As an Account Manager, you are a key member of the PamGene sales team. You will report to the Director PS12 Sales, and your primary focus is to sell PamGene’s kinase profiling technology in the life science research field. Within this field, you will talk to a variety of stakeholders such as Professors, PhD students, and clinical specialists, all of whom apply the technology in different ways. In this you can offer the instruments, various consumables and also our services, which gives you many different types of sales cycles.

Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing specific and local account strategies and promoting kinase profiling sales.
  • Identifying and then responding to customer needs and the conditions and trends affecting them.
  • Scheduling visits to current and potential customers and setting up seminars, both online and on-site.
  • Keeping informed of market developments within the territory.
  • Function as a businessperson, being aware of and responsible for the conditions affecting the business. These conditions include knowledge of the competition, pricing and procedures.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Preferably someone with a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in life science research or related field.
  • Preferably at least 1-2 years of commercial experience and/or strong affinity with customer interaction
  • Preferably someone with knowledge on aspects of molecular biology, proteomics, cell signaling and life science research in general.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • A team player with the ability to switch between internal and external complex matrix organizations.
  • Available for up to 20% business travel.
  • Fluent in English. Dutch is an advantage

Location

The Account Manager will be located at PamGene’s main office in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. This position is not approved for relocation assistance.

Field Service Engineer/Monteur Buitendienst

Wij zijn PamGene, een Nederlands biotech bedrijf gevestigd in de binnenstad van Den Bosch. Wij ondersteunen artsen en wetenschappers bij het vinden van oplossingen en antwoorden om de behandeling van patiënten te verbeteren, te optimaliseren en ziekten beter te begrijpen. We hebben een unieke techniek ontwikkeld die wereldwijd wordt gebruikt voor het meten van ‘kinases’ in biologische materialen. Deze kinases spelen een belangrijke rol in tal van ziektes (o.a. in kanker). 

Ons team bestaat uit zo’n 30 personen en in deze rol werk je nauw samen met ons 7-koppige sales en support team. Onze bedrijfscultuur is het beste te omschrijven als informeel en ‘no-nonsense’. We maken regelmatig gebruik van onze vestigingsplek in het hart van Den Bosch om op vrijdagmiddag het weekend in te luiden.

Wij zoeken

Een field service engineer die werkt aan het repareren en onderhouden van Pamgene’s analyseapparatuur (Pamstation12). Het meeste werk zal plaatsen vinden op onze locatie, maar ongeveer 20-25% van het werk betreft onderhoud bij klanten. De klanten bevinden zich vooral in Europa maar af en toe zullen er ook reizen buiten Europa op het programma staan. Een reis bestaat veelal uit twee werkdagen bij de klant en bevat zodoende dus een of meerdere overnachtingen.

Verantwoordelijkheden:

  • Preventief onderhoud van PamStations (zowel in house als bij klanten);
  • Kwalificeren (IQ/OQ) van analysesystemen;
  • Mede beheer en registratie van apparatuur en serviceonderdelen;
  • Gereed maken van systemen voor uitlevering;
  • Ad hoc storingen oplossen, zowel bij onze klanten als intern;

Profiel kandidaat

  • Een technisch opleiding (Mechanisch, Elektronisch, Mechatronisch) – MBO Niveau 4 (of vergelijkbaar);
  • Focus op kwaliteit en klanttevredenheid;
  • Representatief;
  • Zelfstandig en pro-actief;
  • Een teamplayer;
  • Bereidheid om internationaal te reizen (20-25%);
  • Ervaring met laboratoriumapparatuur is een pre;
  • Sterk ontwikkelde communicatieve vaardigheden;
  • Goede beheersing van zowel de Nederlandse als de Engelse taal is een voordeel;
  • In het bezit van een rijbewijs;
