The PamStation is at the core of PamGene’s technology. This fully automated instrument is designed for processing PamChip microarrays to measure kinase activity and can be found at universities worldwide. Frank de Bruijn is supervisor service engineer at PamGene and makes sure that these pieces of equipment are installed, run smoothly and are up to date with the latest developments.
“I am working at PamGene for just over 3.5 years but basically have been a technician since I was old enough to hold a wrench. What I love about this job is that I’m able to combine my technical work with meeting a lot of different people, varying from professors to the university’s technicians,” tells Frank. The PamStation is an integral part of PamGene’s research facility situated in the city centre of Den Bosch but can also be found at universities throughout Europe, the United States and Asia. “The combination of visiting customers and working at our facility is making my work very diverse.”

Frank is one of the 30 specialists that are part of PamGene’s team. “We are a relatively small organization that applauds own initiatives and gets the best out of being based in the city centre of Den Bosch. For me a perfect fit, since I like being able to define and do what fits best to make our technical offering as good as possible and enjoy to kick-off the weekend with my colleagues while enjoying a nice glass of beer.”
Currently we are looking for a field service engineer to join our team. Are you interested in becoming Frank’s new colleague? We are happy to hear from you!
