Innovative Toxicology Collaboration receives major funding

ZonMw in collaboration with the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) approved four projects for Eur 750,000, under Innovative Systems Toxicology for Alternatives to Animal Testing (InnoSysTox). The focus is on the development of innovative systems biology 3Rs methods in the field of toxicology and / or the application of new and existing systems biology 3Rs methods in the field of toxicology.

These public-private partnerships, consisting of at least one Dutch and one German public partner, have a duration of three years.

PamGene will particpate in one of the four of the approved projects, which will be a collaboration with Dr. RHS Westerink (Utrecht University) and focus onNervous System toxicity: A 3R systems biology strategy for human neurotoxicity hazard, risk and safety assessment. The other collaborators in this project are RIVMTasconIUF Leibniz-Institut für Umwelt- medizinische Forschung and  Institut für Energie- und Umwelttechnik.
